WavReel MCP: Ask Your AI Agent for a Video

Today WavReel gets a new way in: a remote MCP server. Connect your AI agent, ask for a video, and get back a link to a finished, editable WavReel project.

How it works

1. Create an API key in Settings, MCP.
2. Add WavReel to your agent. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode and Gemini CLI all work.
3. Ask: "Make a 45 second vertical video about why octopuses are smart."

Your agent plans the video with WavReel and returns an editor link. Open it and the editor builds the video, no extra prompt needed. Export the MP4 from your browser as usual.

Keep editing from the agent

Once a project is built, the agent can keep going: "cut the first 2 seconds and add a lower third at 3 seconds." Every edit is snapshotted, so you can undo it, and an edit is refused if you changed the project in the browser in the meantime.

Rendering stays on your device

Agents plan and edit. Rendering happens in your browser, like everything else in WavReel. See the MCP page for the full tool list and setup.
