How to get your audio file
wavreel needs an audio file to work with. Here are two easy ways to get one — record your own voice, or use a free website to generate a voice for you.

Option 1: Record your own voice
The easiest option — just speak into your phone or computer. No special equipment needed.
📱 On your phone (iPhone or Android)
- Open the built-in Voice Memos app (iPhone) or Recorder app (Android).
- Press the big red record button.
- Speak clearly — say whatever you want your video to be about.
- Press stop when you're done.
- Share or export the file. On iPhone, tap the recording → Share → Save to Files. On Android, it saves automatically to your storage.
- Transfer the file to your computer (email it to yourself, or use AirDrop / Google Drive).
- Upload that file to wavreel.
💻 On your computer (Windows or Mac)
- Windows: Search for Voice Recorder in the Start menu. Click the microphone button to start recording, click it again to stop. Your recording saves automatically as a .m4a file.
- Mac: Open QuickTime Player. Click File → New Audio Recording. Press the red record button, speak, then press stop. Save the file (File → Save).
- Upload the saved file to wavreel.
💡 Tips for a good recording:
- Record somewhere quiet — a bedroom or closet works great.
- Hold your phone about 6–8 inches from your mouth.
- Speak at a normal, clear pace — not too fast.
- Aim for 30 seconds to 3 minutes for best results.

Option 2: Generate a voice (Text-to-Speech)
Don't want to record yourself? Just type your script and a computer voice will read it for you. These free websites turn text into spoken audio:

- Go to elevenlabs.io and create a free account.
- Click "Speech Synthesis" or "Create" on the left.
- Type or paste your script in the text box.
- Choose a voice you like from the dropdown.
- Click "Generate" and then download the MP3 file.
- Upload that MP3 to wavreel.

- Go to murf.ai and sign up for free.
- Create a new project and paste your script.
- Pick a voice and click Generate.
- Download the audio file and upload it to wavreel.

- Go to ttsmp3.com — no sign-up needed.
- Paste your text into the box.
- Select a language and voice.
- Click "Read it" then download the MP3.
